M. Eileen Anderson

M. Eileen Anderson 68, of Merrill, died Thursday, (May 28, 1983) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City after a brief illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hinton United Methodist Church. Rev. Dale Stone will officiate. Burial will be in the Merrill Hillside Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Mauer Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Anderson the former M. Eileen Simons was born April 5 1915, at Ireton to Merle O. and Jessie a. Hawkins Simons. She graduated from Ireton High School and the University of Northern Iowa, and taught school in Hinton. She married Raymond E. Anderson Aug. 25, 1938 at Ireton.

She lived most of her life in the Merrill-Hinton area where they farmed. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Raymond, rural Merril; two sons R. Kent of Maryland and Craig A. of Merrill; three daughters Mary G. Young of California, Carole J. DeRaad of Michigan and BARbara K. Williams of Des Moines; one brother, Lloyd M. of Ireton; three sisters Mrs. Irvin (Lois) Mawdsley of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Dale (Grace) Mowbray of Atlanta Ga., and Mrs. Boyd (Helen) Kehrberg of rural Le Mars and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy.
