DEATH OF ESTEEMED CITIZEN
August Anderson, who had been confined to his home for many months as a result of paralytic strokes, passed away at his home in this city Sunday, September 15 1929 aged 69 years and 17 days.
Mr. Anderson was born in Earabro, Sweden August 28, 1860. He came to this country in 1882 and not long afterward located in Union County S. D., where on March 6 1889 he was unite3d in marriage with Miss Amelia Engstrom. To this union five children were born two sons and three daughters as follows: Eddie of Union County, S. D.; Rudolph and Mrs. Olga afzelius, of Akron; Mrs. Edna Smith, of Sioux City, and Mrs. Ruth King, of Hornick, Iowa.
Mr. Anderson was a succcessful farmer in Union County, S. D. ofr many years and was a member of the Big Springs Baptist Church. He and his faily moved to Akron twelve years ago, when he transferred his membershiop to the First Baptist Church of Akron, wherein he has been a devout worker and for anumber of years he served on its borrd of deacons. He leaves to mourn his departure his devoted wife, five children, three sisters and six grandchildren, who have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. Of this good man it may be truly said:

"Life's work well done,
"Life's crown well won,
Now comes rest."Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. U. G. Milton, of the Big Springs Baptist Church. There was a large attendance. Hymns were sung by Miss Tillie Fredell Miss Clara Stoutenburg, and W. E. Mellen, and a solo in the Swedish language by Miss Fredell. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
