WATERBURY--At the family home, one and a half miles north of Akron, Iowa, in Union County, S. D., Friday morning, November 16, 1906, Mrs. Isaac Waterbury, aged 40 years, 1 month, and 21 days.

For two years deceased had suffered with cancer, which defied the ability of the most skill, She was cheerful and hopeful to the very last, strong in the desire to remain among those so near and dear to her, yet maintaining at all times a steadfast faith in the will of Him Omnipotent. Thus, surrounded by loved ones, she passed peacefully from earth.

Ida Marie Lamb was born in Franklin, Vernon County, Wisconsin, September 26, 1866,where she grew to young womanhood. She accompanied her parents to Yankton, S. D., in 188x, where she married Isaac Waterbury, September 23, 1888. To this union were born two sons and two daughters--Charles and Joseph, Florence and Angie--all of whom survive.

The family came here from Yankton two years ago last February. Mrs. Waterbury was a loving, devoted wife and mother and a valued friend and neighber. Her untimely taking away is a grievous blow to the bereaved husband and young children, all of whom have the sympathy of this community.

Funeral services were held in the Akron M. E. Church Sunday afternoon and were largely attended. Rev. C. E. Plummer delivered an impressive sermon. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Among the relatives present at the funeral from out of town were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Lamb, and her sister, Mrs. Raymond Lewis, of Lincoln, Nebraska; her brother, Scott Lamb, of Oelwein, Iowa ; Mr. and Mrs. David Waterbury, of Sioux City, and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Waterbury, of Hudson, S. D.
