Fay Smith

Fay Smith, 75, Akron, died Saturday (Dec. 15, 1979) in a Sioux City hospital of a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 in the wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. Dr. Carol McLaughin officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

Pallbearers were Robert Dreezen, Terry Dreeszen, Ward Smith, Dennis Dreeszen, Randall Talbott and Virgil Smith.

Mr. Smith was born Jan. 30, 1904, in Akron. He married Edna Talbott, Nov. 8, 1922, in Le Mars. She died Dec. 9, 1977. He farmed in the Akron area his entire working life and moved into town in 1955.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert Dreeszen of Canton, S. D., and Mrs. Art (Dorothy) Talbott at Fairmont, Minn.; seven grandchildren and nine great-greandchildren.
