DEATH COMES TO A FORMER RESIDENT

Rites Held Saturday At Worthington, Minn., For Mrs. Clarence Knorr

Funeral services were held last Saturday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, in Worthington, Minnesota, for Mrs. Clarence W. Knorr, a former resident of the Akron vicinity, who died at her home in Brewster, Minnesota on Wednesday of last week, Rev. M. W. Lieske officiated. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Worthington.

Marie Beckman Knorr was born at Akron, Iowa, March 6, 1899, the daughter of John and Mary Gerdes Beckman. On November 26, 1919, she married Clarence W. Knorr. They resided on a farm in Plymouth County for about twelve years before moving to Minnesota.

Besides her husband, she is survived by on son, Elvin Knorr, of Hancock, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Sasse, of Breswater, and Mrs. Orvile Silvrants, of Heron Lake, Minn., and six granddaughters.

She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary Beckman, of Akron four sisters, Mrs. Rose Beeler, of Wibau, Mont., Mrs. Anna Hartman, of Alcester, S. D., Mrs. Dena Calhoun, of Custer, S. D., Mrs. Min Pollock, of Akron; three brothers, Henry Beckman and Herman Beckman, of Akron; and Fred Beckman, in California.

She is preceded in death by her father, one brother and one sister.

This community joins in extending heartfelt sympathy to the relatives in their bereavement.
