IDA M. BROWN LAID TO REST IN LE MARS CEMETERY
Funeral services for Ida Marie Brown were held on Saturday, November 13, with Rev. G. O. Thompson conducting the service. Burial was in the city cemetery, with the Mauer Funeral Home in charge.
Ida Marie Brown was born Sept. 12, 1858, at downsville, Maryland, and spent her childhood there. In 1885 she was united in marriage to Benjamin L. Brown, at Lanark, Ill. The young couple came to Le Mars the same year and Mrs. Brown has lived here ever since.
There were three children born to this union; Carrie, Chares, and Lester.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two sons, Charles and Lester; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter.

Resident Here For Fifty-Eight Years
Mrs. Ida M. Brown, 86, wife of the late Benjamin L. Brown, well known farmer in Plymouth County, for many years, died at her home Thursday, November 11. She suffered a stroke the previous Sunday and never recovered consciousness.
Ida Marie Wolford was born September 12, 1857, at Downsville, Maryland. She was married to Benjamin L. Brown at Lanark, Ill., in 1885 and the same year came to Le Mars and engaged in farming. His father and brothers came about te same time and farmed on a large scale, one of the brothers, the late Oliver C. Brown, was engaged in the banking business in Hinton for many years.
Mrs. Brown leaves two sons, C. W. Brown of Washington township and Lester Brown of Le Mars. A daughter, Carre, died at the age of 21 years. Mr. Brown died in 1925.
The funeral services were held Saturday, afternoon at the Mauer Funeral Hom. Rev. G. O. Thompson, pastor of Hildreth Memorial Church, conducted the services and interment was made in the city cemetery.
