Mrs. John Dobbert Died Friday As The Result Of Burns
Mrs. Ella Uthe Dobbert died Friday, Sept. 23, at Sacred Heart hospital where she had been a patient since the previous Sunday when she was seriously burned while preparing the noonday meal.
Ella Uthe was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Uthe and was born December 3, 1868, at Van Horne, Iowa. On March 12, 1891, she was married at Merrill to John Dobbert, who passed away in 1939.
She is survived by one son, Oliver, Le Mars, two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Strid of Green Bay, Wis., and Estella Peterson of Elk Point, S. D., and four grandchildren, Roland and Dean Strid and Marilyn and E. Walter Peterson. She is also survived by two brothers, Albert Uthe of Chicago and William Uthe of Watertown, S. D.
Mrs. Dobbert was a lifelong member of the EVangelical United Brethren church and held a 20-year perfect attendance record in the church's Woman's Missionary society of which she was a life member.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Evangelical United Brethren church with Revs. E. I Clawson and G. O. Thompson conducting the service. Burial will be in L Mars city cemetery. Mauer's were in charge of arrangements.
