Francis Stodden

Francis C. Stodden, 72, of Moville, who suffered a heart attack Tuesday evening, died March 24, (Friday) at a hospital in Sioux City.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic church in Kingsley. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rosary was said at 8 p.m. Sunday and again at 8 p.m. Monday at McCulloch funeral home in Moville.

Mr. Stodden was born Jan. 12, 1900, at Pierce City, Mo. He married Sophie Ernst Feb. 11, 1924 at Mapleton. The couple lived three years at Mapleton, 28 years in Kingsley and the last 17 at Moville. Mr, Stodden had operated a trucking business for 45 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic church at Moville.

Survivors are his wife; four sons, Carl of Marcus, Lavern, Leonard and Wayne, all of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Martin (Marie) Schreiner of Remsen and Mrs. Ed (Donna) Fletcher of Des Moines. Also five sisters, Mrs. Jack (Helen) Folks and Marie of Galena, 111,, Leona and Eleanor of Largo, Fla,, Mrs. Ann Monroe of Homestead, Fla,; four brothers, Leo of Galena, Fred of Smithland, Bernard of Rockford, 111,, and LeRoy of Dubuque; and 10 grandchildren.
