Note: He is buried in Clinton Cemetery in Big Stone County, Minnesota. The gravestone has his year of birth as 1872. I was unable to find his wife's maiden name but her first name is Emilie. His mother's maiden name was Gerhart.

Word was received Tuesday by Dewey Bender of the death of John Bender of Clinton, Minn. He is a brother of the late George Bender. Mr. Bender passed away in a hospital at Minneapolis. He was born in this vicinty and spent his early life here.

Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church at Clinton.
