Relatives Attend Rites For John Frerichs, 86, At Coleridge, Neb.

Funeral services for John R. Frerichs, 86, of Coleridge, Nev., a former Le Mars area resident, were held Thursday, Feb. 13, at Immanuel Lutheran church at Coleridge. Interment was in Lawn Ridge cemetery there.

Mr. Frerichs died Feb. 3 at the Methodist hospital, Sioux City, after several months of illness.

Born Oct. 27, 1871, at Monticello, Iowa, he was the son of Rippe and Etta Eden Frerichs. When Mr. Frerichs was two years of age the family moved to a farm norht west of Le Mars, where they lived 12 years before moving to a farm south of Coleridge in 1885.

Mr. Frerichs resided on the farm from 1885 until his retirement in 1937, when he moved to Coleridge. He was a resident of that area more than 70 years.

He was married to anna Elizabeth Heck April 30, 1903, at Coleridge. The coule celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1953.

Mr. Frerichs was the last surviving member of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two brothers, and two sisters.
