DEATH COMES TO MRS. ED. BURNIGHT
Rites Held Here On Monday For Former Akron Resident
Mrs. Edward Burnight, of 313 W. Fifth Street, Siou City, a former Akron resident died Thursday, June 16, in a hospital there, after a long illness, aged 69 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Rose Ann Neill was born February 27, 1892, at Mondamin, Ia. She moved to Akron, Ia., in 1910, and was married to Edward Burnight August 6, 1912, at Vancouver, Wash. She returned to Akron with her husband in 1918, where they lived until moving to Sioux City in 1943. She was a member of St. Jean Baptist Catholic church.
Survivors include the widower; five sons, Patrick, Ronald and Richard, all of Sioux City, Leslie of Roscoe, N. Y., and Burneil of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Rose Mary Lutter of Sioux City; six brothers, Joseh Neill of Pender, Neb., James Neill of Emerson, Neb., and Howard and Leslie Neill, both of Sioux City, and Clarence Neill of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Carl Kinlund of Walthill, and 18 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Edward, Jr., in Akron a number of years ago.
Funeral services were held Monday forenoon in Akron in St. Patricks's Catholic church, Rev. J. G. Skahill officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery here.
