Former LeMars Lady Died Sunday At Sioux City Home
Mrs. Edward Mathwig, 2200 Roosevelt street, Sioux City, who observed her 65th birthday Sunday, died suddenly after a stroke Sunday night at her home.
Born December 31, 1879, at Parkhill, Canada, she came with her parents to LeMars where she resided until 1918 when she moved to Sioux City. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors arc the widower; two sons. Earl of Sioux City and Lloyd in the army at Camp Howze, Tex., and a daughter, Lavern of Sioux City; two brothers, William Gardner of Winner, S. D., and Richard Gardner of LeMars; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Utesch and Miss Ellen Gardner, both of LeMars, and two grandchildren.
