Alice Becker

Alice Becker, 72, longtime rural Merrill resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1974, at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars after a brief illness. She was hospitalized for two days.

Alice Mildred Becker was born June 5, 1902, in Lincoln township, the daughter of Joseph and Christina Schneider Becker. She was never married.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Melbourne United Methodist church with Rev. Ross Winner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at rural Merrill under direction of the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars.

Survivors are two sisters, Dorothes and Alma Becker both of rural Merrill, a nephew Gene Becker, Hinton and nieced, Mrs. Harold (Janice) Albert, Le Mars and Mrs. James Rae Nanninga Belmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Miss Becker was a member of the Merrill Melbourne United Methodist church.
