Ben H. Borchers Taken By Death

Well Known Farmer For Many Years

Ben H. Borchers, 77, retired farmer and well known resident of Le mars for several years died at his home 514 Second avenue SW, late Sunday night after a lingering illness. He had been in poor health for several weeks suffering from an internal malady.

Ben H. Borchers was born in Germany February 15, 1863, and came with relatives to Plymouth county when a youth. He followed the vocation of farming all his life.

He is survived by his wife, a son, George, farming in Liberty township, and three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Peters, Mrs. John Olrichs and Miss Anna Borchers of Le Mars.

The funeral will be held from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock with services at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Johnson township, the pastor, Rev. Gustave Meyer, officiating and interment will be made in the Johnson township cemetery.

Mr. Borchers was a good citizen and neighbor and was highly esteemed in the community.
