BENJAMIN H. HARVEY OF OYENS SUCCUMBS - FUNERAL TUESDAY
Benjamin Harrison Harvey, 75, of Oyens died Saturday (June 8, 1963) at Sacred Heart hospital after a six months illness. He was a retired mason and brick layer.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Mauer's funeral home, with Rev. Earl Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Union township Presbyterian church cemetery near Le Mars.
Born Sept 19, 1887, in Union township. Mr. Harvey was a lifelong county resident with the exception of a short period spent in California during the war.
Mr. Harvey and Leona Villbrandt were married in 1917 in Le Mars.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William (Beaulah) Grieshammer of Pacoima, Calif., Mrs. Jack (Thelma) Wallis of Terrebonne, Ore., and Mrs. Leone (Irene) Anderson of Rapid City, S. D.; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Magill of San Francisco and Mrs. Bessie Lauglin of Le Mars; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha J. Shinoie Harvey, and three brothers.
