Hold Final Rites For John Neisius

Funeral services for John Neisius, resident of Le Mars for the past 50 years, were held Monday, April 16, at St. James Catholic church. Officiating clergyman was the Rev. L. J. LaVelle.

Burial was in the church cemetery with Luken's funeral home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Neisius died at his home, 309 Sixth avenue southwest, Thursday evening, April 21, after suffering a heart attack.

He was born 79 years ago at Racine, Wisc., Dec. 16, 1871. His marriage to Josephine Funke took place at Bancroft, Iowa, Feb. 9, 1897.

Two sons, Lawrence and Emil Neisius, of Le Mars and two grandchildren survive him.

Pall bearers were John Geary, George Smith, John Wilmes, Jack Watry, Dennis Mohan and Frank Varenhorst, sr.
