Life Long Resident Of Westfield Dies
Funeral services were held Monday for Doyle Jay of Westfield at the Luken undertaking home with Rev. W. M. Hubbard, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating and interment made in the city cemetery.
Doyle Tracy Jay, who died at the Zimmerman Home in Le Mars Saturday, December 30, (1939) was born at Richland, September 3, 1879. He had resided in Plymouth county for forty years at Westfield and in that vicinity. He was employed on the farm of Homer Jacoby.
He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Jay. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Laura Jay, and a sister, Mrs. Georgia Clarkson, of Minneapolis, who came to attend the funeral.
He also leaves three brothers, Earl G. Jay, of Calgary, Canada, R. R. Jay, of San Leandro, Calif., and Frank Jay, of Tulsa, Okla.
NOTE: Buried in LeMars City (LeMars Memorial) Cemetery, Block 16-S; there is no tombstone.
