Shirley Eppling, 13, Kingsley Girl Died In Sioux City Tuesday

Shirley Esther Eppling, 13, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eppling, who live four and one half miles northeast of Kingsley, died early Tuesday (December 20, 1949) at a Sioux City hospital. Funeral services were held at Kingsley at 2 p. m., Thursday. Rev. J. M. Tews of Marcus officiated at rites at the Kingsley Lutheran church. Burial was in a Kingsley cemetery.

Shirley was born March 2, 1936 at Kingsley. She had been in ill health the last year and a half. Survivors, besides her parents, include a sister, Mrs. Donald Hinkhouse of Correctionville; two brothers, Ervin and Gerald, both at home and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Meister of Kingsley.
