Wiliam Frank Calhoon of 312 7th avenue southwest, Le Mars, passed away at the county hospital on Tuesday, November 21, 1961 after a sickness which lasted several months. He was 79 years of age.

Mr. Calhoon was born December 27, 1881 at Le Mars and had lived here his entire life. His parents were the late Frank Calhoon and Abbie Willis. He was a retired brick mason. His marriage to Addie Betsworth took place on January 25, 1904 in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 24 at Luken's Funeral home with Rev. M. L. Straube officiating. Rev. Straube is the pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ. Services will be at 2 p.m. and burial will be in the city cemetery under direction of Luken's.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Opal Simons of Le Mars, two sisters, Mrs. Joe Sutton, Sr., and Mrs. Dorothy Willmes, both of Le Mars; a brother James of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, three brothers and a sister. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Le Mars.
