William Huber
LeMars, Iowa – Special: William Huber, 70, a lifelong resident of LeMars, was found dead Thursday in the living room of his home where he lived alone. It was reported he suffered a heart attack after shoveling snow. [March 18, 1965]
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mauer Funeral Home here. The Rev. Milo Morris, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery.
The body was discovered by a neighbor, Al Messelheiser. Mr. Messelheiser was asked to go to the Huber home when Mr. Huber failed to appear for dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cole Danielson, a brother-in-law and sister of Mr. Huber.
Mr. Huber was born Nov. 20, 1894, at LeMars. He worked all his life for the Illinois Central Railroad, first as freight clerk and baggage man, later as a passenger clerk.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Cole Danielson of LeMars, Mrs. Rose Bixby of Sioux City, Mrs. F. E. Ryan of Richmond, Calif., and Mrs. L. B. Price of Portland, Ore.
