William Weeks, 70, Army Veteran, Dies at Westfield
William Weeks, 70, of Westfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, after suffereing a heart attack at the postoffice in Westfield. Mr. Weeks, who served in the army for 30 years, had lived in Westfield since his retirement in 1933.
He was born April 20, 1885, in Columbia City, Ind., Mar. 5, 1938, at Leavenworth, Kan., he married Lula Mosher. Mr. Weeks was a member of the Hoeschler post, American Legion.
Survivors are his widow; two stepsons, Fred Bierer of Topeka, Kan., and William Brady of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Robert Weeks of New Brunswick, N. J. and francis Benett of Sioux City; and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Serila of New Orleans and Mrs. Lillian Hogan of North Sioux City.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Fridday at Lewison funeral home, Akron. Burial was at Riverside cemetery, akron. Hoeschler post conducted graveside services.
