Grant township Early Resident Is Taken By Death
Johann Osterbuhr Of Brunsville Dies Following Illness Of Four Months
Death claimed Johann William Osterbuhr, 63, well known resident of Grant township since boyhood, who died at the Zimmerman Memorial Home, October 15, following a four months Illness.
Mr. Osterbuhr had lived In Brunsville the last ten years of his life. He followed the occupation of farming and also worked as a carpenter and one time was engaged in, business in Brunsville.
Johann Osterbuhr was born in Germany, July 14, 1875, and with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Occke Osterbuhr, came to America when a child. His parents were early settlers in Grant township. Mr. Osterbuhr was never married.
He is survived by his brothers, Gerd, Otto and Fred Osterbuhr, and a number of nephews and nieces of this county and a brother-in-law, John Marienau of Spencer, Iowa. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
The funeral will be held this Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Christ church in Grant township, Rev. F. Bunge, the pastor, officiating, and interment made in the Grant township cemetery.
