Dolly Mae Whiting

Dolly Mae Whiting, 88, Akron, died Saturday (June 15, 1991) in Sioux City, Iowa.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Schroeder funeral home in Akron. Rev. Marty Healy officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of Schroeder funeral home.

Pallbearers were Robert Utesch, Harold Moffatt, Robert Taylor, Lonnie Schuchard, David Husmann, and Leo Feauto.

Mrs. Harold Whiting, Sr., was born September 2, 1902, at Hawarden, Ia., the daughtrer of Ralph and Fannie Herman. She married Harold Whiting Sr., June 6, 1920, at Canton, S. D. They farmed most of their married life near Akron. Mr. Whiting died in 1974.

Survivors include a son, Harold Whiting, Jr. of Akron; two daughters, Violet Mae Madden of Sioux City and Florence marie Husmann of Westfield, Ia.; a sister, Edith Hunt of Omaha, Nev.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; Charles, James and Delbert Herman; and a grandson, Harold Robert Whiting.
