Mrs. Earl J (Mabel Lillian) Love, 72, died Saturday, October 3 in the Orange City hospital after a long illness. She has been hospitalized four days.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Presbyterian church, rural LeMars, with Rev. Charles Kruse officiating. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Monday. The former Mable L. Rowe, Mrs. Love, was born May 20, 1898, in Washington township, Plymouth county, a daughter of the late Charlie J. and Hilda J. Erickson Rowe.
She married Mr. Love April 11,1936, at the Plymouth Presbyterian church, rural LeMars. She was a homemaker and resided in Plymouth county her entire life except for four years when she worked at Sioux Falls. She retired to LeMars in 1948. She was a member of the Plymouth Presbyterian church and the Plymouth United Presbyterian Women's club.
Survivors are her husband Earl of LeMars; a foster son, Darrell Rhodes of Omaha, who made his home with the Loves for a number of years until entering the armed services; two brothers, Harlen Rowe of rural LeMars and Foster Rowe of LeMars; two sisters, Mrs. Edythe Eilks of Le Mars and Mrs. Ethel Brown of rural Merrill and several nieces and nephews.
