MRS. M. HUMMEL DIES; MEMBER OF PIONEER FAMILY

Mrs. Minerva E. Hummel, 74, 2223 Depont Street in Sioux City, died Tuesday afternoon at the Akron hospital. She had been visiting at Akron when she became ill.

Mrs. Hummel was born Dec. 16, 1876, in Union county, S. D. When two years of age she went to Plymouth county and in 1897 she came to Sioux City. She was a member of Trimble Methodist church and Pacific Rekebah Lodge.

Survivors are four brothers, T. A. Ross, A. D. Ross and F. E. Ross, all of Jefferson, S. D., and Ray E. Ross of Yankton, S. D., and a sister, Mrs. Florence Banks of Westfield, Iowa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hummel will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Anderson funeral home in Sioux City.

Rev. R. D. Acheson of Trimble Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland park cemetery.
