Amos D. Ross
Amos D. Ross, 90, Boulevard station, rural Sioux City, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 1977, in the Akron Hospital of a brief illness.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Schroeder Funeral chapel in Akron. The Rev. Durwood Clauson officiated, with burial in Logan Park cemetery, Sioux City. Nephews of Mr. Ross served as pallbearers.
Mr. Ross was born Jan 14, 1887, in Plymouth county. He married Edna Merrill, and she died in September 1951.
He farmmed most of his life in Hancock township in Plymouth county. He served for many years as a township trustee and on the township election board.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edan, and one son Emory in 1939.Akron Register Tribune
