Mrs. Emma Ross Was Plymouth County Resident 56 Years

Mrs Emma M. Ross, 82, a resident of Plymouth county for the last 56 years, died at her farm home about 12 miles north of Sioux City.

Mrs. Ross was born November 29, 1858, in Howard county, Iowa, and moved with her parents to Union county, Dakota territory, in 1863. She lived there until her marriage to Duncan Ross, January 1, 1886, when she moved to the farm in Plymouth county.

Surviving are three sons, A. D. Ross and Fred A. Ross of Plymouth county, and Roy D. Ross of Yankton, S. D.; a step-son, T. A. Ross of Plymouth county, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Minerva Hummell of Sioux City and Mrs. Florence Banks of Plymouth.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in Anderson's chapel with Wallace M. Short officiating. Interment was in Logan Park cemetery, at Sioux City.
