Note: His mother's maiden name was Yutzie. He is buried in Plymouth Presbyterian Cemetery.

Funeral Monday for George Rembe, 79, former county supervisor, who died Friday afternoon, Dec. 23, at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Phil Rembe in Le Mars. Mr. Rembe had been ill for several weeks.

He was born Sept. 26, 1870, at Quincy, Ill., the son of George and Dorothea Rembe. He came to Plymouth county at the age of three weith his parents. As a young man he taught school for a number of years and later formed a partnership with his brother, Phil. They farmed together for 33 years.

During this time, Mr. Rembe was assessor for Preston township for 20 years. He also served as a county supervisor. He was an ardent bolster lof the farm program, and was one of the pioneers in this movement. He was a life-long member of the Plymouth Presbyterian church.

Officiating at the funeral services Monday at the Phil Rembe home and then at the Plymouth Presbyterian church, were the Rev. Robert Rushing, pastor, assisted by the Rev. W. E. Smith. Burial was in Plymouth cemetery under direction of Luken's funeral home.
