Doris Jane Hansen, 86, of Des Moines passed away Sunday, November 14 at Taylor House.

Doris was born in Des Moines and lived most of her life here. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past Worthy Matron of Union Park Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Brighton of Sioux City; son, Rich (Ellie) Hansen of Des Moines; sister, Betty Jackson of Norwalk; brother, Thomas (Sue) Jones of Vadnais Heights, MN; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; numerous great friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 18 at Merle Hay Funeral Home (4400 Merle Hay Rd., Des Moines). Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Gardens.
