MRS. G. N. HALLEY

Services for Mrs. G. N. Halley, of the Acme community were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, with the Rev. C. F. Shirley as the officiating minister. Interment was made in the Acme cemetery.

Mrs. Halley, who had lived in the Acme community for approximately 30 years, died Sunday morning. She was 54. She was the widow of G. N. Halley who died about two years ago.

Survivors include one step-son, H. D. Halley; two step-daughters, Mrs. Gertrude aparrott and Mrs. Helen Holtdorf.

Mrs. Halley was the former Mildred Berkenpas was born January 8, 1911 in Iowa to Jake and Bertha (Dambrink) Berkenpas. She was raised in rural Le Mars, Plymouth County, Iowa.

She at that time was also survived by her parents and six brothers Leonard, William, Arthur, Henry, Raymond, and Norman, and six sisters Lois Singer, Dorothy Hoppe, Edith Renken, Alice Jennings, and Frances Staebell.

She was preceded in death by one sister Della of Le Mars, Ia and a stillborn infant son.

Her family lived in or near Le Mars, Plymouth County, Iowa.
