Mrs. Emma Milner Died On Thursday

Former Resident Of Sioux Township

Mrs. Emma L. Milner, for many years a well-known resident of Sioux township, died Thursday at her home, 1624 West Fifteenth St., Sioux City, after a long illness.

Mrs. Milner was born September 11, 1868, in Connecticut, and while a child moved with her parents to Monticello, Iowa. In 1893 she was married at Traer, Iowa, to William B. Milner and they farmed in southwest Plymouth county until 1922 when they moved to Sioux City. Mr. Milner died in January 1946.

Mrs. Milner took an active interest in community affairs anf for many years furnished the Sentinel and other county papers the news from Milnerville neighborhood. She was a member of First Presbyterian church in Sioux City.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joe McCormick, Wyola, Mont., and Mrs. Alva Clair, Omaha, three sons, R. H. Milner, Sioux City; R. F. Milner, Westfield, and Dr. William A. Milner, Albany, N. Y., and 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
