OYENS, Iowa — Mary T. Kneip, 65, of Oyens, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens with the Rev. Randy Schon officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be after 3.p.m: today with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. at Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Kneip was born April 9, 1933, in Le Mars, the daughter of Roy M. and Viola T. (Fisch) Kelly. She grew up in Oyens and received her elementary education at St. Catherine's Catholic School. She later graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in Le Mars. She married Loren Kneip on Sept. 9, 1952, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens. The couple farmed for several years west of Oyens and in 1963 moved into Oyens. He died May 11, 1995.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, the Church Guild and the church choir.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Fiend! of Le Mars; a son, John Kneip of Oyens; two grandchildren, Kyle and Erika Plendl; a sister and her husband; Norma and Mary Dominick of Audubon, Iowa; three brothers and their wives, Eldon and Phyllis Kelly of Tucson, Ariz., Ron and Mary Ann Kelly of Le Mars, and George and Britta Kelly of Arvada, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Cook
