Joyce Marie "Rejoyce" Karl, of Omaha, Neb., passed away peacefully at Immanuel Hospital on Sunday evening, Feb. 2, 2014, after a respiratory illness.

Born in Le Mars, she received a bachelor's degree in business from Westmar College before moving to Omaha, Neb., where she worked for First Data Corporation.

Joyce was an expert seamstress, enjoyed genealogy, and loved people.

Always the light and life of any gathering, she loved to tell jokes and entertain others, especially children, as Rejoyce the Clown.

She is survived by her sister, June Paik, brother-in-law, David Paik, nephew, Eric Paik, and nieces Angela and Jaime Paik, all of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clemence and Betty Collins Karl, and brothers, James and Jeffrey Karl.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kremer Funeral Home, 6302 Maple Street, Omaha. Following a brief viewing Thursday at 10 a.m., funeral services will be at 11 a.m. the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5217 N 54th St., Omaha. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. that afternoon at Le Mars Memorial Cemetery, 1100 3rd St. S.E., in Le Mars.
