AGNES RICHARDS
Agnes Richards, 92, of Wonder Lake, Illinois, formerly of Le Mars died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, Illinois. Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hinton, with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Richards was born April 23, 1909, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ida (Mathwig) Kounkel. She married Clinton Richards on January 12, 1929, in Hinton. They moved to Wauconda, Illinois, in 1963 living there until 1976, when they moved to Friendship, Wisconsin. Mr. Richards died February 11, 1991. In 1994 she moved to her daughter’s residence. She was member of Fellowship of Faith Lutheran Church of McHenry and formerly of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton. She was a floral designer and was the proprietor of Richards Café. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Survivors include three daughters Bonnie Brown of Wonder Lake; Phyllis Riley of Adams, Wisconsin; Carol and her husband Lenard Mummert of Friendship; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Ralph and Mildred Kounkel of Le Mars. She preceded in death by her husband; a daughter Kay on July 22, 1939; a grandson Steven Brown on May 18, 2001; four brothers Walter, Roy, Lawrence, Fred, and a sister, Viola Robinson.
