€has. C. Pritchett Nonogenarian Is Called By Death

Resident Of Struble Vicinity For More Than Sixty Years

Chas. C. Pritchett, well known farmer of Elgin township, passed away at his home Sunday night, December 6, at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 28 days, after a long illness. He had been bedfast for the last year, due to infirmities of age.

Chas. Pritchett was born in Washington county, Ohio, February 10, 1849, and when a lad five year old came with his parents to Jackson county, Iowa. He came to LeMars in 1881 and lived for a short time in Sioux county. From Sioux county he moved to Plymouth county and settled on the farm in Elgin township where he lived ever since.

Chas. Pritchett was united in marriage with Minnie Albright and four children, three sons and a daughter, were born to them. The departed man spent, his entire life farming. His occupation and family were his chief concern in life. He was a good and faithful husband and father.

Those who mourn his passing are his wife, four children, Will and Lillie of LeMars, Charles of Remsen and George of Jefferson, S. D., and five step-children, Aug. Albrecht of LeMars, Mrs. John Friedrichs of Tyler, Minn., Mrs. John Schwiesow of Ashland, Wis., Mrs. Ed. Pritchett of Anthon, Mrs. Gerd Heeren of LeMars, a half brother, Matt. Pritchett of Lynch, Neb., 31 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren beside a host of more distant relatives and friends.

The funeral was held from the residence Thursday afternoon and services held in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in this city. Rev. R. R. Hunger, the pastor of the church conducted the services.
