MRS. SUSAN YOUNT PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Susan Yount, 82, who resided two miles northwest of James, Ia, died last week Thursday at a hospital after an illness of five weeks.

She was born March 29, 1871, in Scotland. She came to America at the age of 22. She married Louis Yount five years later in Kingsley. The family had resided for the last 52 years near James.

Survivors include two sons, Louis, Jr., and Raymond, both at home, and John of Los Alameda, Cal.; four daughters, Grace, at home; Mrs. Gertrude Boehme of Topeka, Kan., Mrs. Mabel Millage of Sioux City, and Mrs. Maude Plemdl of Hinton; two brothers, Peter L. Litterick of Aurelia, Ia., and William of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. George Bell of Lake Andes, S. D., and Mrs. Charles Bell in Canada; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at the Anderson funeral home at Sioux City.

Rev. Joseph Castle of Wesley Methodist church, officiated, and burial was at Kingsley, Iowa.
