EARL BECK
Earl Beck, 82, of Bettendorf died December 29, 1999, at Bettendorf Health Care Center following a brief illness. Services were held December 31, 1999, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery Davenport, Iowa. Mr. Beck was born November 13, 1917, in Lincoln Township Plymouth County, rural Hinton, Iowa, the son of Juluis and Emma (Woldt) Beck. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton. He served in the United States Navy during World War 11. He married Anna Beulah Austin in 1950 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She died February 3, 1988. He retired in 1980 after 40 years of service as a millwright/trouble-shooter for International Multifoods in Davenport. He then worked at the Fifth Avenue Building Moline, Illinois. Survivors include a son and his wife, Dr. Michael and Marsha Beck of Bettendorf; two grandchildren Jeremy and Kristin; a sister Myrna Binnebose of Sioux City; a sister-in-law Dorothy Beck of Sioux City. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Paul Beck.
