ALVIN HARDERSEN
Alvin Hardersen, 85, of Kimberling City, Missouri, died on September 12, 1999, at his home in Kimberling City. Services were held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Kimberling City on September 15, 1999. Interment was in Philibert Cemetery. Alvin Hardersen was born on March 13, 1914, the son of John Hardersen and his wife Katherine Warneke in Hinton, Iowa. He served in the Navy and worked at various jobs but spent most of his working career as a mechanic and millwright for Firestone in Des Moines, Iowa. On March 15, 1966, he became the husband of Naomi Hibbs. Upon his retirement from Firestone in 1976, Al and Naomi moved into their newly built house in Kimberling City, Missouri. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and was instrumental in helping with the building of the church and its several additions. He is survived by his wife Naomi; sons Ron and wife Tammy of Waukee, Iowa; Gerry of Raleigh, North Carolina; a brother Emery and his wife Helen of Hinton, Iowa; an aunt, Margaret Muecke of Le Mars, Iowa; six grandchildren.
