MRS. EDITH PRUST, 80, EXPIRES AT HOSPITAL AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS

Mrs. Edith Prust, 80, a lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Sunday at Sacred Heart hospital after a brief illness. She had been hospitalized since Dec. 28.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John United Church of Christ. Rev. Sherwood Haas, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Le Mars Memorial cemetery, under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Mrs. Prust, the former Edith Laura Beck, was born March 2, 1883, in Stanton township, Plymouth county. She was married Feb. 4, 1905, to Herman Prust at Elk Point, S. D. He died in 1923.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Kounkel and Mrs. Clara Hoffman, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Rose Kounkel of Seattle; three brothers, Charles Beck of Merrill, Edward Beck of Le Mars and Albert Beck of Sioux City, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Prust was preceded in death by a son Henry, who died in 1942; her parents, Joseph and Caroline Eichorst Beck; three brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Prust was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and the church Women’s guild.
