Paul Woldt Died Tuesday At Zimmerman Home In Le Mars
Paul Ludwig Woldt, retired farmer who spent most of his adult life in Le Mars, died March 28 at the Zimmerman Home after a few days illness.
He was born March 14, 1866, in Pomerania, Germany, and came to the United States at the age of 18 years. he lived at Pipestone, Minn. for a time but returned to Plymouth county in 1905 and has lived here since except for a few years at Kingsley.
Mr. Woldt was married October 21, 1890, to Ernestine Roepke who died in 1923. The following children survive him:
Mrs. Beck (Emma), Leeds; Mrs. Ed Beck (Martha), Le Mars; Mrs. Heimgartner (Marie), Le Mars; Mrs. Joe Cook (Clara), Los Altos, Calif.; Mrs. Jack Wiltman (Amanda), Le Mars. There are 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Grace Lutheran church, Le Mars, at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 31, with Rev. H. H. Meyer officiating and burial was in the Le Mars City cemetery with Mauer’s Funeral Home in charge.
