SERVICES HELD FOR EDMUND ANDERSON
Edmund A. Anderson, 84, of Hinton died Saturday January 31, 1998, at a Sioux City nursing home following a short illness. Funeral services were held at Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Gerald Kapanka officiating. Military graveside services by American Legion Casper Post #477 of Hinton were held in Rademacher Cemetery, rural Hinton. Mr. Anderson was born December 1, 1913, the son of Carl and Lottie (Asplund) Anderson, in rural Plymouth County. He married Erma A. Ludwig on August 16, 1941, in Dakota City, Nebraska. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War 11. He was a lifelong Plymouth county farmer and resident. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where he served on several church boards. He was a member of American Legion Casper post $477 of Hinton and the Plymouth County Zoning Board. He also served on Plymouth County ASCS. Survivors include his wife, a son Jim and his wife Lorraine of rural Hinton, two sisters Ethelyn Cain of Sioux City, and Annabelle Johnson of Carroll, Nebraska; six grandchildren Dawn, Debbie, Russ, Brad, Kurt and Annette; five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter., Joann Lampe, a brother, Raymond and two sisters, Helen Hilton and Cecilia Hoffman.
