HEART ATTACK FATAL FOR CARL LUENSE

Carl Luense, 48, of Merrill died Monday in a LeMars hospital due to suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Luense was born December 3, 1904, at Marion, Iowa. He with his parents went to Elk Point, S.D., in 1909, where they resided until he located in Merrill in 1937. Mr. Luense operated the Northside Café at Merrill for 12 years and since 1949 managed a grocery store at Merrill.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Cheryl Dickman and Pattie; two sons, Ben and James; his father, Ben, of Elk Point, and a grandson.
