Former Seney Girl Dies in Arkansas

Mrs. Kathryn Louise Holmes, 22, of 205 Martin Avenue, Mena, Ark., died Friday, February 28, 1975, in Sparks Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Ark. She was born July 26, 1952, at LeMars, Iowa.

Survivors are her husband, Danny Joe Holmes of Mena; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Forslund of Mena (also formerly of Seney, Iowa); two sisters, Miss Lois Forslund and Miss Tammie Forslund of Mena; two brothers, James Forslund of Fort Monmouth, N.J, and Timothy Forslund of Mena; two grandmothers, Mrs. Gladys Ewin of Mena and Mrs. Pearl Wood of Axtell, Nebr. and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Mena Free Will Baptist Church with Elder Dan Hollingsworth officiating. Interment was in the Two Mile Antioch Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Casketbearers were Keith Hodapp, Dennis Hodapp, David Ewin, Jim Brewer, Scott Pierce and Doyle Deramus.
