FUNERAL RITES FOR JOHN COOPER HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON

Simple and impressive services were held in the First Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon for the late John Cooper, ex-mayor of LeMars, and a long time resident. Rev. Glen Morrow conducted the service. There was a large attendance of neighbors and friends who gathered to pay tribute to the memory of a man honored and respected over a long period of years. Among relatives from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Irene Teefey and daughters, Joanne and Margaret, of Des Moines; Miss Lucille Cooper of San Francisco; Freeman Cooper of Hiawatha, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Gregory, Mrs. J. O. Fruetennicht, Mrs. Ray Fruetennicht and Mrs. Clarence Cowan, of Sioux City.
