AUGUSTUS A MARTIN FARMED FOR 60 YEARS NEAR WESTFIELD

Augustus A. Martin, 78, of Westfield died Tuesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Mr. Martin was born January 22, 1880, on a farm near Sioux City. He had been a farmer near Westfield for 60 years.

Survivors include the widow, Anna of Westfield;three daughters, Mrs. Mary Maloy, Grant Center, Ia., Mrs. Marguerite Donely of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Catherine Conner of Minden, Ia.; three sons, John and Tom of Westfield and James of Sioux City, 15 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Camella Conway, of Westfield.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic church at Westfield. Burial will be at St. Patrick cemetery at Akron,Ia., Rev.Father Freedman of Hawarden officiating.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rossow funeral home at Akron.
