John Manning
(Although a previous obituary of Mr. Manning, former Le Mars resident, was printed in Monday’s Globe Post, Mrs. Manning has requested that the following be printed.)
John Manning, 74, retired machinist for Portland, Oregon Traction company, died Wednesday at a Portland hospital after long illness. He retired in 1950.
Mr. Manning was a resident o Portland 30 years. He lived at 1725 N. E. Clackamas street. He was born May 14, 1880 at Le Mars, Ia. He was a member of Orient Lodge 17, of Odd Fellows, and Columbia Rebekah lodge No. 3.
Survivors include the widow, Sadie, Az. a daughter, Gladys E. Bullington and a grandson, Daryl Bullington; all of Portland: and three brothers, Roy, Harry and Raymond Manning, all of Le Mars.
Funeral services were at 11 a. m. Saturday at Little Chapel of the Chimes. The Odd Fellows participated.
