Mrs. Selma Ludwig
Mrs. Selma Ludwig. 85, 134 Third Ave. SE. wife of the late longtime county auditor Leonard Ludwig. died early Monday, Oct. 11, 1976 at Floyd Valley hospital after a 2-week illness.
The former Selma Sandven, she had lived in Le Mars since her marriage June 10, 1933, in Omaha. Mr. Ludwig died April 16, 1970.
Selma Sandven was born July 27, 1891, at Yankton, S.D. to Samuel and Martha Easthouse Sandven.
She taught school at Sioux City prior to her marriage. Mrs. Ludwig was a member of St. John American Lutheran church, Le Mars, and Le Mars Friday club.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran church, Le Mars. Burial will be in Graceland park cemetery, Sioux City, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors are two brothers, Arnold Sanven, Le Mars, Sernon of Los Angeles; a sister Mrs. Hilda Brown, Perry, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, and a sister.
