AKRON MAN DIES SUNDAY AFTER A LONG ILLNESS
Last Rites Held Wednesday For Ed. J. Schreiber
Edward J. Schreiber, 59, a former longtime resident of South Sioux City, Nebr., died Sunday at his Akron, Iowa, home after a long illness.
Mr. Schreiber was born February 19, 1902, in Chicago. He married Dollie Huffman on May 24,
1923, at LeMars, la. They moved to Akron about two years ago. Mr. Schreiber was parts manager for the C. J. Murray Co., of Sioux City, for 14 years.Survivors, in addition to the widow, include a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Searls, of Akron; four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Payne, of Chicago, Mrs. Adeline Jacobsen of Tucson, Arizona, and Mrs. Mayme Pittenger and Mrs. Helen Broome, both of South Sioux City, and one grandson.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a. m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Akron, Rev. John Schissell officiating. Pallbearers were: W. J. Collette, Richard Pittenger, John Pittenger, Howard Long, Matt Gale and Harold Theis.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
