Adolph Kovarna
Adolph Kovarna, 85, of Hinton, died March 12, 1976 in a Sioux City hospital of a long illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Meyer Bros. Colonial chapel in Sioux City. Rev. Ross. Winter of Hinton United Methodist church officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery at Sioux City.
Mr. Kovarna was born May 20, 1890, at Plymouth county and lived most of his life on the same farm. He retired from farming in 1956, but continued to live on the farm to which he had first moved at age 14.
He married Frances A. Vondrak Nov. 24, 1915. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last November. Mr. Kovarna was a member of the Eagles lodge at Le Mars, was a member of the Farm Bureau and was a former township trustee.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Leona) Lindlief and Mrs. William S. (Helen) Hathaway, both of Sioux City; a brother George of Merrill; a sister, Mrs. John (Helen) Hartman of Sioux City, and two grandchildren.
