In the passing of Mrs. Fronia M. Manwarren, 76, who died in a Sioux City hospital Monday following a stroke, this vicinity parts with another pioneer resident.

The deceased was born January 24, 1863, at Victoria, Ill., and came to Plymouth county when she was 16 years of age. She resided in Liberty township until 1905 when she with her family moved to Hinton. In recent years she made her home with her sons, Albert Crouch at Hinton, and John Crouch at Cherokee. She will be remembered by a host of friends for her deeds of kindness during her many years of life.

Surviving are four sons; Albert Crouch of Hinton, Stuart Crouch of Rapid City, S.D., John Crouch of Cherokee, and Joe Crouch of Sioux City, and two daughters, Mrs. Will Reynolds of Jefferson, S.D., and Mrs. Robert Lent of Sioux City.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Anderson’s Chapel in Sioux City with Rev. J.E. Feller, pastor of Wesley Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in the Liberty cemetery west of Hinton. [1939]
